In the Rescue Diver course, you will become proficient at identifying and managing dive emergencies both above the water and under the surface. You will train on emergency procedures, first aid, emergency oxygen, and diver rescue maneuvers and practice scenarios.
Knowledge Development: You can easily purchase your eLearning training material to complete prior to getting into the water. They will cover all the knowledge, skills, and concepts we will use during your course. This can be completed at your convenience as we work with you to schedule your in-water sessions.
Emergency First Responder Certification: This course will go over Primary and Secondary care such as CPR, rescue breathing, shock management, AED use, and emergency oxygen. We also include the Equipment Specialist certification so you can expand your knowledge of dive gear and manage additional issues. You must hold a valid EFR certification by the completion of your Rescue Diver course. This can be completed during the course (additional cost) or on your own before you begin.
Dive Exercises: You will practice ten rescue exercises with two final simulated open water scenario tests. We introduce and stress the skills in our private pool first, and then will execute them in a real ocean environment. The drills will cover self-rescue techniques above/below the water, managing panicked divers, missing diver procedures, and rescues of both responsive and unresponsive divers above/below the water, and much more.
